Michael Colasuonno

Chief Executive Officer

Michael Colasuonno serves as Chief Executive Officer of Provident Health Group, where he leads the organization with a focus on a simple but demanding principle: behavioral healthcare organizations should never stop getting better for the people they serve.

Since beginning his career in behavioral healthcare in 2011, Michael has focused on building organizations that continually improve the client experience, elevate the quality of care, and expand access to treatment. He believes meaningful growth is not measured simply by the number of facilities or individuals served, but by an organization’s ability to provide better care, create better experiences, and reach more people who need help.

At Provident, Michael works to build a culture of continuous improvement across every level of the organization. That means investing in exceptional people, listening to clients and families, challenging existing processes, embracing innovation, and holding the organization accountable to continually raising its standard of care.

His approach combines extensive experience in behavioral health operations, organizational growth, admissions, and business development with a belief that strong business performance and exceptional patient care should reinforce one another.

Under Michael’s leadership, Provident’s goal is not simply to grow, but to build behavioral healthcare organizations that continually become more accessible, more effective, and better places to receive care.

Dr. David Kashan, DO

Dr. David Kashan, DO

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Kashan serves as an attending psychiatrist and Medical Director. He completed his undergraduate studies at Bucknell University and earned his medical degree from A.T. Still University.

Throughout his life, addiction and mental health struggles have touched several of Dr. Kashan’s close friends and family members. That personal experience shaped his mission: ensuring that those facing these conditions receive the best treatment possible. He is heartened to see the stigma surrounding mental health and addiction finally on the decline.

“Life is hard, and it is okay to not be okay. Personally, I see the ability to ask for help as a sign of strength rather than weakness. My goal is to ensure optimal patient care, which means treating symptoms in a way that minimizes side effect burden and utilizes the fewest medications necessary. It is truly an honor to treat and restore hope to patients who have so much to offer the world, if just given the right tools to do so.”
